Pomona Queen
Gold Medal, LA County Fair 2007 & 2008
Pomona Queen is Dale Bros. Brewery's flagship beer. It is an American-Style Amber Lager brewed in the style of a California Common Beer, the only beer style to originate from our state. Our unique take on this style strikes a fine balance between malt, hops, and the dryer character of a lager to create an uncommonly drinkable beer that complements a wide variety of food.

Runway I.P.A.
Available October 24, 2011!
Runway I.P.A. is our first flight into the wild blue yonder of ales. While we thought that we may keep our feet firmly planted exclusively in the world of lagers we have been producing since 2003, over the years customers have been imploring us to brew a Dale Bros. version of an I.P.A. We are happy to say their wait is over. Runway I.P.A. takes off with four hop additions in the brew kettle, then brings it in for a landing with multiple dry hop additions. The flavor and aroma are courtesy of Summit, Galaxy and Cascade hops. Place your tray table in the upright and locked position -- here we go!

California Black Beer
Gold Medal, LA County Fair 2005, 2006, 2008 & 2009
1st Place, California State Fair 2009
California Black Beer is our version of a classic American Style Dark Lager. While its color may remind many of Stouts and other full-bodied dark ales, California Black Beer is a traditional dark lager, with lighter body and a slightly chocolaty finish that frequently appeals to many people who enjoy lighter beers. Like the bear, it is called black. But if you look closely, it's really brown.

Oktober Fiesta
Autumn Seasonal
As the Austro-Hungarian Empire crumbled around the turn of the 20th century, brewers began an exodus to the New World. In places like Mexico and Texas they tried to brew the Vienna and Oktoberfest styles they knew, but found that the alkaline water required a darker, more acidic blend of barley. A new style of beer was born. Our dark amber version of this beer is very malty in the fine tradition of Oktoberfest, with hints of dried fruit and a crisp, hoppy finish. Put on your lederhosen and sombrero. Celebrate the season!

Winter Haze
Winter Seasonal
Gold Medal, LA County Fair 2006
The Dale Bros. winter seasonal, Winter Haze, is a celebratory twist on American-Style Amber Lager. We call it a Doubly Common Beer because the ingredients are those of a California Common Beer but we add more of them! The result is a full-bodied, more complex beer that nonetheless bears the same trademark balance as the other Dale Bros. beers.

Shameless McDale
Early Spring Seasonal
Shameless McDale? OK, while we are mostly of English and Welsh stock, at least one of the Dale brothers is married to a woman with clear Irish ancestry -- so there! In the spirit of early Spring, we have made this a "green" beer. Not green as in the Emerald Isle or FD&C Green No. 3 food coloring, but green as in using 100% Certified Organic Barley. The 2012 batches will have a pronounced malty chocolate finish but will still be light on hop bitterness. Slainte!

The Dude of York
Late Spring Seasonal
Dude of York has been reformulated for the 2012 run. Instead of using the San Francisco Lager Yeast that we use with many of our beers, this year the Dude is a traditional English-style Special Bitter ale -- basically, a lighter cousin of Pale Ale. We have also added a traditional English hop, Bramling Cross, to the recipe that gives the nose a hint of berries. But the end result is still a tasty medium bodied beer that will go well with your favorite foods -- from Yorkshire pudding to pineapple pizza.

Pacific Daylight
Summer Seasonal
Gold Medal, LA County Fair 2005, 2006 & 2007
Silver Medal, Great American Beer Festival 2010
Pacific Daylight is a refeshing take on an English Summer Beer with a uniquely California character. While it is light in color, it has a full, yet crisp flavor that won't weigh you down on a hot summer afternoon. Pacific Daylight is brewed with 100% organic grain -- we just can't call it an "organic beer" because our brewery isn't certified organic by the people who certify that kind of stuff.

Heller Than Thou
Imperial Heller Bock Beer (8.75% ABV)
Bock is a traditional spring beer in Germany. It was first brewed by monks in Einbeck to get them through Lent. The "liquid bread" they brewed, heavy on malt and low on hops, became popular in Bavaria and transformed into many variations, including the light-colored Heller Bock. The bite you taste in this beer is most likely the alcohol from the abundance of malt. Enjoy the warmth.

Maibock
Maibock Beer (7.2% ABV)
Maibock is one of the variations on the bock beers that became popular in Bavaria. It is a relatively high-alcohol beer in the world of traditional lagers but, unlike the "liquid bread" of the original bocks, this sub-style has a hint of floral hop flavor to it. This particular beer also has notable residual sugar, giving the beer a slightly sweet finish.
